SNYDER ISD CLOSED THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2025
Shortly after 11:00 pm on Wednesday, Snyder ISD school board members received an email with specific threats against Snyder ISD. The Snyder Police Department was immediately contacted, and several law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the situation. Authorities do not yet have enough information or time to issue an ALL CLEAR before the start of school today.
Therefore, the superintendent has decided to cancel school for Thursday, January 16, 2025, to allow law enforcement the time needed to thoroughly investigate the threat and ensure the safety of our campuses.
We understand this decision may cause an inconvenience, but we appreciate your understanding as we take every precaution to protect our school community. We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Extracurricular Activities:
We will share an update about extracurricular activities and building use by 12pm today. Until the all-clear is given, all Snyder ISD campuses will remain closed. For teams traveling, the all-clear must be provided before any equipment can be retrieved.

SJH and SHS athletes competing today have been cleared to travel, and specific instructions have been sent through Sports You. At this time, we have not yet received the all-clear for other sporting events or meetings scheduled to take place on campus this evening. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
