SNYDER, TEXAS – At their most recent meeting, the Snyder ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to call a bond election for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This decision followed months of study and input from the Facilities Assessment Committee, which was formed earlier this year to evaluate the condition of district facilities and recommend the most urgent improvements. The committee, made up of parents, educators, business leaders, and community members, conducted walkthroughs, research, and discussions to evaluate safety, instructional effectiveness, and planning considerations.
The committee presented its findings at the July 2025 Board of Trustees meeting, identifying several key priorities. These included addressing aging infrastructure at Snyder High School, HVAC and electrical deficiencies across campuses, expansion of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, the need for a second gymnasium at Snyder High School, enhanced campus safety measures, a cafetorium addition at Snyder Intermediate, improvements to fine arts facilities, and improved accessibility for special education services.
The proposed bond totals $170,900,434 and is focused on addressing needs identified by the committee as priorities in safety, infrastructure, instructional space, and accessibility. The scope of projects identified in the proposal is outlined by campus, as follows:
