David McGinnis, a 1969 graduate, earned all-district honors in football and baseball at SHS.

David played football at TCU where he started for the “Frogs” in the defensive backfield.

David’s coaching career began at TCU and continued with stops at Missouri, Indiana State, and Kansas State.

In 1986, he moved to the NFL, coaching linebackers for the Chicago Bears.

David became the Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals in 2000 and is currently the Assistant Head Coach of the Tennessee Titans.
