ESSER II Public Notice
Snyder Independent School District (SISD) is making public notice for applying for the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act, ESSER II Federal Grant for funding. These funds are provided per federal statutory formula to use for allowable activities to respond to the pandemic. Available funds will be reduced by the extent state funds were utilized in 2020-2021 due to the use of hold harmless student attendance.
General Specifics on the grant are as follows:
Time Frame for the grant: Pre-award costs can be recoded from March 13, 2020 and allowed to spend funds until September 30, 2022.
Districts will be required to follow all federal, state and local regulations and requirements for federal grant administration and fiscal spending of funds.
SISD’s current entitlement for the grant is $2,207,667 before the hold harmless offset.

ESSER III Public Notice
Snyder Independent School District (SISD) is making public notice for applying for the American Rescue Plan, ESSER III Federal Grant for funding. This application will provide funding to the district in two major categories: student learning loss due to COVID-19 and the safe re-opening of the public school district. These will be done while meeting the students’ academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The application also deals with other areas related to COVID-19 issues such as retaining employees, operational needs of the school district due to COVID-19 issues, and teacher support.
General Specifics on the grant are as follows:
Time Frame for the grant: Pre-award costs can be recoded from March 13, 2020 and allowed to spend funds until September 30, 2023. With the Tidings Act, if districts need to carry over unused funds they will be allowed to continue spending to September 30, 2024
Districts will be required to follow all federal, state and local regulations and requirements for federal grant administration and fiscal spending of funds
SISD’s current entitlement for the grant for the 3 year period is $4,958,105.
Snyder Independent School District has made public notice for applying for the American Rescue Plan, ESSER III Federal Grant for funding. Public input from all our stakeholders was solicited on May 24th through May 26th.
Snyder ISD invited feedback from staff, students, parents, families, community, and business members on the district’s plan for funds available to the district from the American Rescue Plan. In-person and virtual options were available.
