Solving problems takes practice.
Second and 3rd-grade students at Snyder Primary Elementary School have been using their counseling lessons with Mrs. Cowley to learn how to solve their own small problems.
Mrs. Cowley said, "The kids have been really getting into practicing being problem-solvers as they use puppets to act out situations!"

What kind of lifestyle do you want? What kind of job do you need to support your desired lifestyle? What training and education do you need to achieve your dreams?

If you haven't already, be sure to check out https://texasrealitycheck.com/ to learn more! It's a great exercise to complete as a family.

Thanks for keeping us connected! Today, we say thanks to our IT staff who keep us on the cutting edge of education technology, help students stay safe online, troubleshoot and repair devices, and come to the rescue when things aren't working properly. We couldn't possibly list all of the behind-the-scenes work they do, but we know we couldn't make it without them!

Last week, students at Snyder Primary School read “The Dot” written by Peter H. Reynolds. In the story, a student named Vashti felt like she couldn’t draw — but her art teacher wouldn’t accept that. “Just make a mark, and see where it takes you,” the teacher said to Vashti.
Students made their own mark with special projects and added to the fun by wearing Polka Dots!

🍪 Mrs. Rowlands's class at Snyder Intermediate School enjoyed a sweet lesson last week! They practiced following instructions in a recipe and mixing ingredients. They also learned about kitchen safety and hygiene. When the timer went off and the cookies were cool it was time to share their smiles and sweet treats with the staff!

📚 Every two weeks, students at Snyder Junior High visit the library during their English class. They are able to pick out two books each. If you have a student at the junior high, ask about the books they are reading!
Independent reading improves comprehension for students and helps them develop their vocabulary. We are fortunate to have an inspiring library space at SJH with a variety of books for students to choose from!
