Snyder ISD only had two students competing at the Sands ISD Build-Off, but that didn’t keep them from succeeding! Mr. Jalomo brought two welding students to compete as a team against 14 other teams of four. They placed third overall and were the only team in which all students passed the welding certification test given. Mr. Jalomo said, “I’m beyond proud of Rey Rios and Alex Cerda! Not bad for being the only team with two students and the only team that finished within the allotted time.” Congratulations to Snyder ISD High School Manufacturing Services! #snydertigers #CTE

Let's give a 👏👏👏 to the 5th grade SCIENCE GOAL GETTERS!

At Snyder Intermediate School, part of our vision is to celebrate academic excellence and goals to provide a roadmap to student success. We believe all students can grow, no matter their academic level.

Goal Getters are recognized after each unit test. Teachers set goals for students based on their previous year's STAAR performance to give students a target for growth. Students learn the importance of setting goals and the work required to meet them.

Daily assignments and exit tickets provide a window into day-to-day understanding, but unit tests provide a deeper perspective of comprehension and retention. Ask your child about their goals. Be sure to look beyond the overall letter grade and regularly check your child's test grades in Skyward.

Together, we can help your child achieve their best. As always, reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Ms. Beltran's 5th grade science classes worked in groups to build circuits to show the flow of electrical energy in a closed circuit. Students assembled circuits using wires, a switch, a battery, and a light bulb. Students even got to see what type of energy was produced when a motor and buzzer were added to the circuit!
